DevFortress was brought on by Mail Magic AI to build a powerful AI-driven email drafting tool form the ground up. This innovative application learns from users’ past email responses and generates personalized email drafts that match their unique communication style. The goal was to streamline email productivity, providing seamless integration with Gmail and Outlook for both mobile and desktop devices.

THE CHALLENGE
The primary challenge for this project was building a system that could handle complex integrations with multiple services, including Shopify, Shoplazza, Stripe, Nylas, OpenAI, Anthropic, Chrome extensions, and Google add-ons. Additionally, the tool had to ensure data security and privacy, which involved meeting Google’s security protocols and providing options for enhanced security with tools like Llama 2.
SOLUTION & RESULTS
DevFortress built the entire Mail Magic AI tool from the ground up, utilizing Python as the primary programming language and LangChain for vector storage management. This AI solution integrates with Gmail and Outlook, automatically drafting emails that mirror the user’s tone and style. The platform also supports all languages, with advanced tone adjustment features and powerful grammar corrections. The AI-driven system is backed by industry-standard encryption and security protocols.
To expand Mail Magic AI’s reach, DevFortress developed free Chrome extensions, allowing users to experience the tool’s core functionalities—email drafting, tone adjustment, grammar checking, rephrasing, and text summarization—all powered by GPT-4. Additionally, these extensions were adapted for use with Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn, TikTok, WhatsApp, Google Reviews, OpenPhone, and YouTube, providing broad applicability across communication platforms.
For enterprise users, DevFortress integrated Mail Magic AI with Shopify and Shoplazza, using the RAG framework to create email drafts powered by data from the user’s inbox and store, including stock levels, pricing, FAQs, and more. This provided marketing professionals with accurate, context-aware email drafts, saving significant time and effort while improving the quality of their communications.
